Join the Science Centre Inspirers as they use explosive experiments and exciting demos to delve into the secrets of space travel.Find out what kit astronauts use to survive in space. Workshop - Winter Warmer

Come in from the cold and discover the secrets of how to keep warm. Temperatures are dropping so we’re going to discover different ways to keep warm! For many of our native animal species, it’s hibernation time. But how does huddling together help survive harsh weather of winter? Let’s find out!

We’ll explore the electromagnetic spectrum and find out how the sun keeps us warm on Earth. And let’s not forget about animals that live in colder climates. What can we learn from them about how to keep warm? Dive into the world of the penguins that make the south pole their home and find out more about how they have adapted to their wintry environment!

Prices

We're a charity so we work really hard to break down any barriers to engagement. We're pleased to offer subsidies to the following schools:

State-funded schools (including academies, multi-academy trusts, free schools and University Technology Colleges) - 12% subsidy 

Our selected priority schools and all schools who have 17% or more students who receive free school meals - 60% subsidy

Don't forget to check out the different ways to support your financial and travel expenses. The South Downs National Park have some great options available and we're part of the Great British School Trip bursary scheme.

We can make changes to educational visit to suit the needs of your children. We can offer a relaxed Planetarium screening. We'll give you visual supports for SEND and EAL pupils. We'll also send you pre-teaching resources before you visit.
