About the show

Sit back, relax and discover the stars of our solar system. Shoot into space to explore the planets and discover some of the hidden mysteries of the constellations that surround them in this exhilarating live Planetarium show.

Get set to head off on an epic journey through space as an expert Planetarium pilot explores the wonders above us. For thousands of years people have looked into the sky and told stories about what they can see. Discover more about our neighbouring planets and explore the constellation stories of the stars that share the sky with them.

About The Planetarium Live

The Planetarium Live is an opportunity to visit us for a Planetarium only adventure with commentary from an expert Planetarium pilot. Doors open at 6pm and there will be time to grab a drink or snack from the café before settling in for an adventure you'll never forget. The 45-minute show starts at 6:30pm.

The Planetarium Experience is part of our After Dark evening events. Other dates are available. Please be aware that all of our Planetarium shows can be viewed by every age group and are not quiet shows.

Your Planetarium Live ticket includes:

• A flight through the stars in The Planetarium
• An opportunity to purchase drinks and snacks from the café

*Please note that there will be no access to the exhibition floors during this event.*

Accessibility information for The Planetarium Live

The Planetarium is accessible so everyone can have a special experience here. Every show is relaxed with quiet and calm presentations. It's not super dark and you can move around, go out and come back in if you like. If you have a wheelchair, we have spaces for you to sit with seats for your family and friends. The stairs have lights to make them easy to see.

This event is a fundraising event for Wonderseekers, the charity that runs Winchester Science Centre.
