About the show

Join us for an out-of-this-world adventure through space. Discover the planets and stars that we share our solar system with. But watch out for asteroids and comets!

Sit back and relax as we take you on an epic voyage through the stars and planets! As you fly around the solar system, you’ll speed past planets and moons while your pilot shares fascinating facts about what can be seen. Hold on tight as you zoom through the Asteroid Belt and discover how Jupiter is protecting Earth from space rock impacts. There’s a big adventure in store – where will it take you?

About The Planetarium Live

The Planetarium Live is an opportunity to visit us for a Planetarium only adventure with commentary from an expert Planetarium pilot. Doors open at 6pm and there will be time to grab a drink or snack from the café before settling in for an adventure you'll never forget. The 45-minute show starts at 6:30pm.

The Planetarium Experience is part of our After Dark evening events. Other dates are available. Please be aware that all of our Planetarium shows can be viewed by every age group and are not quiet shows.

• A flight through the stars in The Planetarium
• An opportunity to purchase drinks and snacks from the café

*Please note that there will be no access to the exhibition floors during this event.*

Accessibility information for The Planetarium Live

The Planetarium is accessible so everyone can have a special experience here. Every show is relaxed with quiet and calm presentations. It's not super dark and you can move around, go out and come back in if you like. If you have a wheelchair, we have spaces for you to sit with seats for your family and friends. The stairs have lights to make them easy to see.

This event is a fundraising event for Wonderseekers, the charity that runs Winchester Science Centre.
