Let’s mix up some fun this Halloween season in the Potions Science Lab. Get set for a brand new free live science show that will see chemistry bring to life some bewitching brews. 

It’s trick or treat season and the science Inspirers have stumbled across an old potion book. But there's just no eye of newt anywhere in Winchester. That won’t stop us getting our cauldron bubbling, we’ve got a secret weapon – science!  
 
Through enchanting experiments and dazzling demos we’ll show how chemistry can be used to mix up some fun this Halloween. Watch as metal salts create a rainbow blaze right in front of your very eyes. Be wowed as oxidisation brings to life the famous invisibility potion. And hold on tight for the epic catalyst cloud finale! Harry who? Chemistry is the real wizard at the Science Centre!

Accessibility information for Potions Science Lab

The Science Theatre is accessible so everyone can enjoy all the fun. Sometimes there will be loud noises, but we'll tell you about them before the show starts. If you want to wear ear defenders, you can borrow them from us before the show starts. If you feel nervous in a show, you can stay near the back and leave quickly if you need to.
