The Sound Show - science show

Dates: 22nd March to 5th May 2025 Weekends and school holidays
Location: Science Theatre
Duration: 20 minutes
Tickets: Included with admission

Science sounds amazing in the Science Theatre this spring!

What is sound? How does it travel? And can fire really dance? Let’s find out in The Sound Show.

The Sound Show is an action-packed family-friendly 20-minute live show that takes an in-depth look into the science of sound through exciting experiments and daring demos. Don’t miss out - it’s free with general admission.

Is there any science involved in the sounds we hear? Join the science Inspirers as they find out. Discover what objects we  can turn into a loudspeaker with our audio exciter. Watch as the smoke vortex air cannon brings to life the principles of how air particles move when sound travels through it. And be wowed by the hugely popular Ruben’s Tube, back to dazzle the crowds with its mesmerising dancing fire.
