It’s trick or treat season and we’re pulling out all the stops to make this one full of science treats! Join Skully the skeleton for a fiendishly fun trick or treat trail around the Science Centre. Help reunite them with their lost bones and put them back together again.
Little monsters, witches and werewolves it’s time to put on your best Halloween costumes and hit the dance floor! Every day during October half term (25th October to 4th November) we’ll be hosting the mini monster disco at 4pm in Science Live. What are you waiting for, get your dancing shoes ready!
If all that’s got you needing a rest, make sure you book a free 20-minute live science show in the Science Theatre. The science Inspirers have stumbled across an old potion book and they’re using chemistry to mix up some science fun. Watch as they create a rainbow blaze, an invisitbility potion and a catalyst cloud.
Over in the Planetarium we'll be blasting into space. In live show, Our Amazing Solar System, you’ll blast off on a ‘believe it or not’ tour of our solar system’s planets, stars and moons. And in subtitled film show, Astronaut, find out what it takes to become a real-life spaceman.*
And don’t forget all the other hands-on fun on offer! Discover more about sound, hearing and vibration on the upper floor. Climb inside a giant guitar. Explore the acoustic rocket. And even learn some British Sign Language. On the lower floor blast off on a journey through Explorer:Space. Discover more about what it’s like to live and work in space in our interactive space zone.
*Please note, the Planetarium is an additional £4 cost
